France to provide latest technology to Pak Army to combat terrorism
Director International Development of DGA, (France Armament Procurement Agency) Jacques De Lajugie, visited General Headquarters on Wednesday and called on the Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
According to spokesperson of Pakistan Army, the visiting dignitary remained with COAS for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest. According to military sources, the meeting discussed ambit of issues pertaining to enhance bilateral military and defence cooperation. According to sources, France would provide latest technology to Pakistan and to ensure speedy implementation of defense and military agreements inked between the two countries.
Sources further told that the meeting discussed overall situation of the region, situation in Afghanistan and Pak-France cooperation in war on terror. Director International Development of DGA, Jacques De Lajugie lauded the role and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Army in war on terror. He said that his country valued efforts carried out by the Pakistani Government and Armed Forces in bringing peace and stablitiy in the region.
